Tigo set to ease parking congestation in Dar es Salaam.

Dar es Salaam. 15th June, 2022. Tanzania’s leading digital lifestyle company, Tigo Tanzania, is excited to announce the launch of Lipia Parking Kwa Tigo Pesa, a bill pay service,enabling Tigo Pesa users to pay for car parking services at the Mlimani City Shopping center in Dar es salaam.

The solution allows payment of parking fees at Milimani City via Tigo Pesa USSD Push service e-parking Speaking during the launch,Tigo Pesa Acting Head of Corporate and Partnership,Haidari Chamshama said. “This move will represent another significant milestone to push our digital payment services to another spectrum, visitors to the renown Mlimani City Shopping center have always complained about the time it takes them to pay their parking fees. Lipia Parking Kwa Tigo Pesa comes into the market to solve parking congestation at the premises.”

HOW TO

“To use the service, a customer needs to scan the QR code at the bottom of the receipt by using their smartphone’s camera, then click the link appeared on the screen, then selectTigo Pesa icon. Customer will be required to enter Tigo phone number. A pop up message will appear which will require a customer to enter Tigo Pesa password, then confirm the transaction. “ explained Chamshama.
Speaking during the launch, eparking sales engineer, Beatrice Nkondola said. “This new mobile payment service is a huge step to a whole new world of smart parking as it allows our customers to pay for the parking service by scanning the QR code on their ticket and access the payment platform at any place in the facility apart from the point of sales avoiding the queue, hence giving our customers maximum comfort from the entry, payment and exit point.

E-parking together with Tigo pesa, has made this mobile payment solution a success for best customer experience.

    • You proceed with manual repayment through USSD Main menu *147*00# or Tigopesa App.
  • Upon an event of default, customer agree for any one or more of the following actions to be exercised:
    • Lock the device which will prevent from using any of the device functionality.
    • Require to immediately pay the outstanding unpaid amount financed.
    • A locked device can only be unlocked by paying the outstanding via Tigopesa app only.
  • For every repayment customer will receive his/her daily offer of MBs and if not, offer will be received.
  • The device will remain to be owned by HONORA TANZANIA PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY unless the loan is completed.
  • You will be able to get another loan if you have completed your loan and your tenure for loan.
